Over 50 years ago a small group formed the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF). Since then, the ACF community has protected parts of Australia like the Great Barrier Reef, the Kimberley, the Daintree, Kakadu and Fraser Island. Today ACF is Australia's national environment organisation. It has over 500,000 members. It is independent, non-partisan and funded by donations from the community.

The Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) pioneers advances in melanoma research and treatment that are making a difference to the lives of patients today. It is a non-profit organisation dedicated to preventing and curing melanoma through innovative, world-class research, treatment and education programs. MIA is a national affiliated network of melanoma researchers and clinicians based in Sydney at the Poche Centre – the world’s largest melanoma research and treatment facility. Its clinics treat 1,500 melanoma patients each year.
Taldumande Youth Services supports vulnerable people aged 12 to 21 years, and their families. On any given night Taldumande has 65 children and young people in residence. It operates three 24/7 and two semi-independent accommodation programs and offers community housing programs that provide a streamlined pathway, from homelessness and family breakdown, to independence and stability. Taldumande focuses on preserving and restoring families with young people 12 to 15 in its Family Preservation and Restoration Program.

Their work improves the living standards of those living in the lowest poverty brackets, by giving them access to the tools they need to work their way out of poverty, through microfinance and by improving access to financial services.
Good Return provides women living in poverty with loans to start and build their businesses, but just as importantly, provides financial capability training, which is a crucial component to build an inclusive finance sector. These programs enhance the knowledge, skills and behaviour of the communities they work in, enabling those who live there to start their journey towards financial empowerment.
